Projects and Community Outreach

 

All About Love Trust Zimbabwe is commited to helping children, youth and the disadvantaged in our community, with a particular focus on those living with HIV/AIDS.

 

Below is a small sample of our community based Health, Support and Outreach programs in Zimbabwe!

YOUTH ALIVE CLUBS

​(YAC)

The Youth Alive Club is designed as a meeting Place for children and young adults where they can learn about and discuss issues related to sexual health, HIV and AIDS. These youth are provided with accurate Educational materials and emotional support.

The YAC also serves as a place where children and youth can openly discuss sexual health and related issues, gaining the support the need to make informed choices. We hope with your help to be able to continue and ultimately expand this critical program.

With 22 YAC’s already running in the Midlands Province and plans to expand to the whole country by 2016, we have great hope that this program can help children and youth nationwide next year!

LIFESKILLS EDUCATION

Life skills education is designed to equip youth with the social skills and

understanding of their culture and local enviroment, giving the ability to

be contributing members of society. The project also covers an a wide range of health and social problems present in Zimbawe, giving you the tools to become strong and contientious leaders and to look after their peers.

 

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

This project initiative aims to develop young leaders through leadership coaching and development of strong moral values. Our initiative targets school age youths and has program such as the Prefect Leadership Course designed for Youth Leaders. The course aims to groom children and youths into responsible and innovative citizens in the society. The project is based creating the job skills to retain employment and become productive local citizens.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Our Support Groups are ​for both children and adults living with HIV. In group, we encourage positive living, making healthy choices and safe treatment methods.

 

AALZ promotes  safe sexual practices to prevent reinfection  and the spreading of the Virus. We also provide Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) resources for those who want to have children.

 

We with our clients work diligently to fight stigma and discrimination, through eudcation and dialogue, offering hope and support to hundreds of people in need.

 

Girl and Young Women Empowerment

The project consists of campaigns and workshops, aimed at educating girls and people in general, about women’s rights and working to eliminate the stereotypes that have been laid upon girls and young women by the society,limiting their opportunities and access to resources.

At AALTZ we work tirelessly to break these stereotypes, inspiring girls to pursue careers and seek equality. Our goal is equal rights, both at home and in the work force.

OVCs / HIV & AIDS

The organization supports orphans and vulnerable children by providing emotional and economic support in local communities throughout Zimbabwe.

We have helped over 18,000 orphans through partnerships with schools, clinics and community based organizations. This support includes provision of educational resources such as books, uniforms and food handouts. In addition spiritual and motivational lectures and seminars provide much needed moral a spiritual guidance.
